August Rowe Thoresen

August is my daughter. She was born at 40 weeks and 4 days. Despite how brave and strong August was, she could not survive the circumstances of her birth.
August lived for 6 days in the NICU. I tried so hard to memorize her features and the only things I’ll ever know of her. jet black hair, two distinct eyebrows that match my own yet look much more striking on an infant. She had long and plump limbs, strangely big feet and long fingers. Her nose was curved upwards and her eyelashes were long…I was, and always will be incredibly proud of her. My angel
