1. The program

The Hello Angel Affiliate Program lets approved partners earn a commission by sharing Hello Angel with their audience or community. Applying is free. Acceptance is at Hello Angel’s sole discretion, and we review every application personally. These terms apply to everyone who participates; by joining or continuing to participate, you agree to them.

2. Your code and how referrals work

Approved affiliates receive a personal discount code and a referral link that applies it automatically. Attribution is code-based, not cookie-based: a purchase is credited to you only when your code is applied at checkout. There is no tracking cookie and therefore no cookie window — if the code isn’t used, the purchase can’t be credited afterwards.

Qualifying purchases are annual purchases made on our website (helloangelapp.com) — annual Premium memberships and 1‑year gift memberships. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play do not qualify.

3. Commission and rates

Commission is a percentage of the net proceeds (the amount paid less payment-processing fees) of each qualifying purchase. Your personal rate is confirmed when your application is approved and is always visible on your affiliate dashboard. Rates are set individually, may differ between affiliates, and may be changed prospectively with notice.

4. Payouts

• Payouts are processed manually, typically monthly, to the payout method you chose (PayPal, bank/e‑transfer, or another agreed method).
• The minimum payout is $25 USD. Smaller balances roll over until the minimum is reached.
• You are responsible for any taxes on your commission income.

5. When commissions are not paid

A commission is not owed — and may be reversed if already credited — when:

• the purchase is refunded, disputed, or charged back;
• the purchase is fraudulent or made in violation of our terms;
• it is a self-referral — you may not use your own code, and purchases you make yourself don’t qualify;
• your code was not applied at checkout; or
• the referral came from activity that breaches these terms (for example, the prohibited conduct below).

6. Disclosure

You must clearly and conspicuously disclose your affiliate relationship whenever you share your code or link — in line with the FTC’s Endorsement Guides and any equivalent rules where you live (for example, “affiliate link” or #ad placed where people will see it before they act).

7. How you promote Hello Angel

You agree to:

• promote Hello Angel honestly, and never make false, misleading, or unsubstantiated claims about the app or its benefits;
• never describe Hello Angel as therapy, a replacement for mental health care, or crisis support;
• never solicit grieving individuals through obituaries, memorial pages, funeral guestbooks, or other spaces intended for private mourning;
• never send spam or use paid ads that impersonate Hello Angel; and
• respect the rules of any community you share in.

8. Our name and logo

While you participate, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to use the Hello Angel name, logo, and any promotional materials we provide, solely to promote the app as described here. Please don’t alter the logo, present yourself as Hello Angel or as our employee or agent, or register domain names, social handles, or apps that could be confused with ours. This licence ends when your participation ends.

9. Suspension and removal

We may suspend or remove any affiliate whose conduct breaches these terms, harms the Hello Angel community, or conflicts with the values at the top of this page — including the commitments made on the application. Commissions arising from conduct that breaches these terms are forfeited. Either of us may end participation at any time; commissions properly earned before the end date will still be paid.

10. Changes to the program

We may modify, pause, or discontinue the program — including commission rates, qualifying purchases, and these terms — at any time. We’ll give reasonable notice of material changes by email or on your dashboard. Continuing to participate after a change takes effect means you accept it.
